Giving Back to Our Community

When it comes to giving back, any action big or small makes a difference. Whether volunteering at a local food bank, collecting toys for children during the holidays, hosting clothing drives, supporting our nation’s military and first responder heroes, or donating money, we are proud of the positive impact that we are having on families throughout our local community.

Educating the Youth
Many thanks to Downingtown STEM Academy for inviting us to present to your BioTech Pathways class. The Pathways and Practicum program provides opportunities for students during junior and senior years to explore a specific career area of interest through course work, trips, speakers, research and university-based activities. We look forward to having your rising seniors intern with us again this summer!
Teaching the Next Generation of Leaders
The Venatorx team is heavily comprised of entrepreneur-scientists from varied backgrounds—demographically, scientifically and professionally—who have had career success in both big pharma and start-up environments. In light of this diversity, we believe that it is important to give back to the community and foster the next-generation of scientists.
We have witnessed first-hand the colossal impact a global pandemic can have on our way of life. I am excited to be part of a company that is addressing critical unmet medical needs for patients, and working hard every day to thwart what could be the next global pandemic—antimicrobial resistance.
Chitrananda Abeygunawardana, Ph.D - Vice President, Regulatory Affairs
I have a passion for the infectious disease space, which has been amplified by the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. I am proud to be working with my colleagues at Venatorx to bring the company’s novel class of antibiotics and antivirals from the ‘bench to bedside’.
Mary Beth Dorr, Ph.D - Vice President, Clinical Science
If you’re looking for a dynamic atmosphere, if you’re looking to come and contribute, this is definitely the place to be. You realize that you are playing a serious part in what gets done here. There’s an understanding at all levels of the company that we’re all doing this together.
Tony Drager, Ph.D. - Director, Pharmaceutical Product Development
Venatorx’s culture is built upon the sense of collaboration and working towards a common goal. We are on the cutting edge of really important medical research with the goal of bringing life-saving therapies or patients.
Jennifer Nelson, PMP - Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Operations
This is an all-for-one, one-for-all setting. We have had a lot of successes. We’ve had some setbacks. When we face setbacks, we pick ourselves up, we dust ourselves off. We get back into the game. Our team members take a lot of responsibility for what they do here. There isn’t a problem that our team can’t solve.
Daniel C. Pevear, Ph.D. - Founder and Senior Vice President, Biology and Grants Development
As antibiotic resistance continues to reach dangerous levels in the U.S. and around the world, it is an exciting time to be part of a company that has become a driving force for innovation and transformation in the anti-infective space.
Will Sargent, - Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy

RECRUITING SCAM ALERT (June 2022)

Recently, we have been made aware of a recruitment scam in which fraudsters are posing as recruiters from Venatorx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and providing individuals with fake job offers. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon occurrence and happens to many companies. Fraudsters attempt to pose as real recruiters and post fake job listings with the intention to steal and use your personal information.

If you have any questions about our hiring process, believe you have contacted by a fraudulent account, or received a fake job offer, please contact us at hr(at)venatorx(dot)com.

Here are some tips for avoiding scams:

  • Are you being asked to pay equipment fees, travel fees, or make a payment of any other kind — even if they claim that you will be reimbursed? Venatorx never seeks fees from job applicants under any circumstances.
  • Did you receive correspondence from a free e-mail account, like Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail? Venatorx does not solicit candidates through a non-Venatorx e-mail address.
  • Were you contacted in a chat room (e.g., Google Hangouts)? Venatorx does not use chat rooms or chat applications for recruiting purposes.

ATTENTION: External Agencies and Placement Firms

Employment agencies play one component of our talent acquisition strategy and we value the partnerships we have built with our vendors. A member of the Venatorx Human Resources Department will contact an agency directly if an open position is eligible to be sourced from an outside recruiting service. Venatorx does not accept unsolicited resumes from employment agencies for any employment opportunity. All agencies/recruiters must have a written agreement in place with Venatorx prior to submitting any resume or curriculum vitae.

All resumes must be submitted through the appropriate process. Any resumes submitted without an agreement and/or any resumes sent unsolicited through e-mail accounts of Venatorx employees will be considered outside of the appropriate process, do not imply or create any obligation on our part, do not impart any restrictions on Venatorx with respect to the hiring of any persons whose resumes are so submitted and are not eligible for placement fees.
